//Acting and drama

Stage time taught me pacing.

I have loved acting and drama as long as I can remember. High school was where I got to live inside it.

High school plays

I performed in multiple school plays and stage performances through high school. Taking on full roles, not just walk ons, meant I had to hold a character across a whole arc and still feel present in every beat.

Why it shows up in my engineering

Theatre trained me on timing, delivery, and reading a room. A lot of how I think about product pacing, micro interactions, and how a user feels at the top versus the bottom of a flow comes from stagecraft more than from design books.

Film and drama as a habit

Even offstage, I treat film and drama as their own disciplines. Watching intentionally, not passively, is a thing I built into my week.
